Two new services introduced in two months by Cable & Wireless in St Helena
Carlos Yon Cyber space hits the Consulate
Installed last month at the far end of the Consulate Hotel courtyard is a new touch screen Internet Kiosk also known as a ‘Pubnet’. In addition to the Internet services available at the Cable and Wireless Internet Bureau, members of the public can now surf the web or send and receive e-mails from Monday to Saturdays up until bar closing time in the evening. Feedback from customers indicates that this service is welcomed by many within the local community and tourists alike; as it extends the times that the Internet can be accessed providing more flexibility and convenience.

Mobile IDD - it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3
December 2004 also saw the launch of a new service-Mobile IDD by Cable & Wireless in St Helena. Customers now have the flexibility to make their IDD or local calls from any telephone on the Island and have the cost charged to their own telephone account.

For the business executive it saves the laborious task of sorting through phone bills and itemising calls to be charged to the office or vice versa.
