Cable & Wireless continues to demonstrate commitment to the development of staff and is very pleased to report that CARLOS YON, one of our Technicians, returned to St Helena in mid-December 2004, after a successful intensive overseas training course with Siemens Communications in Nottingham, United Kingdom.
Readers may remember the telephone exchange software upgrade in Cable & Wireless St Helena in April 2004, which was carried out by a Siemens Engineer in conjunction with Cable & Wireless local technicians. The overseas training completed by Carlos follows on from this major upgrade and has provided an opportunity for professional and personal development through the enhancement of his technical capability in the maintenance and operation of telephone exchange software and equipment.
Carlos is to be congratulated on achieving excellent results with passes in all four course modules, which included marks of 85%, 100%, 95% and 94%.
