Card operated telephones
There are around 15 of these phones remaining on inner and outer islands. Our beautiful and colourful phone cards come in 30, 60, 120 and 240 unit denominations and correspond to the unit rates set by Cable & Wireless Seychelles Ltd.
These cards allow the user to call locally or internationally from any card phone for a duration corresponding to the units. Once the units have been used up, the card is rejected by the machine and cannot be used to make further calls.
These collectable phone cards are available from any one of our five Customer Services Centres and from distribution outlets on the islands.
Coin operated telephones
This service is similar to the card operated telephone system except that it uses local coins of 1 and 5 Seychelles Rupees instead of a card. Cable & Wireless Seychelles Ltd operates over 100 of these phones throughout Seychelles.
Combined cards and coin telephone
Cable & Wireless Seychelles Ltd has around 50 Combi units scattered in the Victoria, on Praslin and La Digue. This service offers the customer the option of using either card or coin on the same phone. It uses 30, 60, 120 and 240 unit denominations and coins of 1 and 5 Seychelles Rupees.
