Roaming in the Seychelles
International roaming is a great way for you to stay in touch when visiting the beautiful islands of Seychelles. If your GSM network operator at home has a roaming agreement with Cable & Wireless Seychelles Ltd, you'll be able to use your mobile phone to make and receive calls using our GSM network.

All call charges will be converted to your home currency and appear on your normal GSM bill. So you don't have to spend your foreign exchange on calls.

Call changes
All your call charges that you incur in Seychelles will be converted into your home currency and invoiced on your normal GSM bill that you receive at home. While roaming in Seychelles you will be charged for the following:

Outgoing calls:
When you make a local or international call in the Seychelles, you will be charged Cable & Wireless applicable rate, plus, a 15% administration fee for handling the call. These charges are converted into your telephone bill which you receive in your home country.

Incoming calls:
When receiving a call, you will be charged for the international re-routing of the call from your home country to the Seychelles, regardless of where the call was originated. The charge for this re-routing will be dependent on your local GSM operator's international rate to Seychelles.

Administration charges:
In addition to the call rates and administration fee charged by Cable & Wireless Seychelles Ltd, there will also be an administration fee of up to 15% applied by your local GSM operator to be included on your GSM bill back home.

GSM networks and compatibility
Cable & Wireless Seychelles Ltd has a GSM 900 network.

If you are from either Europe, or much of South East Asia or the Middle East or Africa, you could be using a GSM 900 phone. Thus, you're able to make use of the phone while roaming in Seychelles.

If you are from North America using a GSM 1900 (also known as PCS) phone, you will need to rent a phone from your local suppler.

If you are from Japan or Korea, you may need to rent a GSM 900 phone from your local supplier. This is because Japan's network does not support the GSM mobile phone system.
