Cable & Wireless Seychelles (CWS) is a subsidiary of Cable & Wireless PLC, one of the world’s leading global communications companies with over 30 years of experience in the satellite industry and a global network comprising of over 100 major earth stations in 45 countries. In collaboration with other strategic partners, Cable & Wireless provides VSAT solutions for multinational corporations, businesses, service providers, finance, hotel and manufacturing industries, in the construction and maintenance support of voice and data networks. These networks can also support a wide range of applications such as broadcasting, video-on-demand, file transfer, online transactions, reservations and internet/intranet communications. We offer advanced, internet-based voice and data services from our own Tier 1 internet backbone, linked to fully service-managed satellite VSAT networks across the Indian Ocean/Africa region and throughout the world.

Our regional experience
CWS’ experience in satellite communication dates as far back as 1976 when the first earth station linking Seychelles to the rest of the world became operational. Since then, CWS has embarked on a Domestic Satellite project, linking some of the archipelago’s outer islands via satellite. This network was upgraded to VSAT technology in 1999. In 2000, CWS won its first regional bid to provide a fully service-managed VSAT solution for a major International bank with branches in Reunion, Seychelles and Mayotte. The project was successfully implemented in 2001 and the network has since then expanded to include 3 other branches in Madagascar (Tamatave & Antananarivo) and Mozambique.

In addition, our relationship with vendors of add-on systems such as PBX and LAN equipment and Internet Service Providers, ensure that your integrated solution works smoothly, letting you focus on your business.
