The health debate
The health debate surrounding the safety of masts is well documented internationally. In April 2006 the States of Jersey produced a report on mobile phones and health. Their conclusion was "Exposure to Radio frequency radiation below NRPB and ICNIRP guidelines do not cause adverse health effects to the general population'. The full report is included here as a download.

Cable & Wireless is committed to abiding by the international, expert-determined, guidelines for public exposure to radio waves, and our masts work at levels well below the recommended limits. In fact, they are generally a tiny fraction of the limits. We recognise that not everything is known about the effects of radio waves on the body and have funded research into mobile communications and health. We continue to follow the latest research, and support the JCRA's own examination of the evidence.
