Cover principles
Distinctive cover designs are a well-established feature of our brand system. All our covers should follow these simple principles:
  • all covers feature a horizon and corporate signature, which have a carefully designed spatial relationship
  • the corporate signature always appears in its primary colourway, on a white background
  • the horizon area may contain images and/or digital wallpapers - these should always follow the creative platform guidelines
  • typography on covers should be in Gill Sans only
  • back covers should contain contact details, and should be set in Gill Sans only


Any special finishes (for example: lamination, dye-cutting or embossing) should be used in moderation, and should not detract from the overall impact or integrity of our print items.
