Working with words
Every time we communicate with our customers, we have an impact on how they perceive Cable & Wireless. Whether we’re writing a letter, an email, a presentation or a brochure, the words we use are as important as the message we convey.

As a company, our key message is that we provide services, not technology. When we write, we want to communicate the benefits of those services to the customer. In terms of writing - and indeed any other communications - that means we should be approachable, clear and friendly about what we can offer.

In this document, our aim is to help you make the right impact when you write. It’s a tool to use alongside the style guide - and our new top tips - to help ensure that everything we write has a correct impact on our customers.
