Cable & Wireless provides and operates the national and international telecommunications for Ascension Island. We use modern day technology to provide a reliable and efficient telecommunication service to all our business and domestic customers. Services include telephone, messaging, facsimile, internet and data transmission.
We support the community of Ascension Island through staff participation donations and sponsorship:
Education
Free internet dial-up access for the Two Boats School 100 hours a month free usage. This is the only school on the Island.
Sport
- "Flipper" Knockout Football Tournament (As a memorial to a work colleague who passed away suddenly in 2002)
- Dew Pond run
Ascension Day fair
Donates to an annual fundraiser to provide Ascension Island with a resident vicar.
The year 2002 saw the start of major changes in the fiscal and economic management and administration of Ascension Island, the introductions of Taxation and an elected Island Council being the key milestones to date. Cable & Wireless fully supports these and further changes required to develop and improve the infrastructure, economy and society of Ascension Island.

The provision of quality products and services is still very much our key aim, while continuing to participate in the worldwide trend of reducing prices of telecommunications services, where possible, here on Ascension. We are aiming to build upon our previous price reductions by introducing customer discounts during the coming year.
