We engage all key suppliers in our Sustainable Procurement Programme. Key suppliers represent 73% of our annual transactional spend.
Our assessment is based on an audit programme and enables us to assess and monitor supplier performance against:
- Business Ethics Standards
- Business Continuity Planning
- Environment Standards
- Health & Safety Standards
- Security Standards
The programme includes risk assessments to help us assign a risk level and create action plans to mitigate and manage accordingly.
Our performance and management reviews with key suppliers across the world are being carried out using Video Conferencing to reduce cost and the environmental impact.
As we are now ISO14001 certified we are in the process of establishing sustainable procurement metrics which will be available in our 2011/12 annual report.
