Accreditation
Health, Safety & Environment:
- ISO14001: ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: In February 2011 LRQA awarded ISO14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems certification for Environmental systems management and support associated with the telecommunications network.
Business Continuity Certification:
- BS25999: BUSINESS CONTINUITY MANAGEMENT: In 2009 LRQA awarded BS25999 Business Continuity certification for the Business Continuity Management relating to the provision of voice and data national network, data centre hosting within the UK.
Security Certifications:
- ISO27001: MSP CORE NETWORK: In January 2011 Cable&Wireless Worldwide was awarded ISO/IEC 27001:2005 re-certification for the Information Security Management System supporting our new next generation Multi Service Platform (MSP) and it's customers, providing: Internet, voice and data products and services.
- UK GOVERNMENT 2-2-4 STANDARD: Since 2009 the MSP has been approved for UK HM Government to the assurance level of 2-2-4, which enables Cable&Wireless Worldwide to carry UK HM Government traffic at the protective marking of 'PROTECT'. This approval was initially issued by one of the CESG Pan Government Accreditors following a KPMG CTAS assessment process and has since been re-iterated by the CESG Head of Network Services Assurance following an additional CTAS assessment of the assurance maintenance. As part of our ongoing close relationship, we will be joining the new CESG Standard Security Certification Scheme once this is UKAS accredited.
- ISO27001: SECURE HOSTING: In February 2011 British Standards Institute (BSI) completed an independent audit of the Cable&Wireless Worldwide Secure Hosting Information Security Management System and awarded the re-certification of ISO27001 for the operation, maintenance and support of the Cable&Wireless Worldwide Secure Hosting facilities at all of our UK Data Centres.
- ISO27001: OFFSHORE FACILTIES: The Cable&Wireless Worldwide facility in Bangalore India was recertified to ISO27001 in April 2010 for its operations there, concerning the Information Management System for the provisioning and management of network services.
- PAYMENT CREDITCARD INDUSTRY DATA SECURITY STANDARD: In February 2011 Information Risk Management Plc Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) awarded Cable&Wireless Worldwide PCI DSS v1.2 compliance for the Network Interactive Voice Response system (NIVR), incorporating the Speech Enabled Interactive Voice Response system (SEIVR), for our Contact Centre Services function. This allows end customers to securely enter their credit or debit card information over the telephone via keypad (NIVR) or verbally (SEIVR) to allow the processing of card payment transactions.
- ISO9001: QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: Cable&Wireless Worldwide is also certified to ISO9001 for Quality Management Systems at all locations in the UK.
