From Cables To Clouds
Providing resilient networks is at the heart of our history and is still a key part of what we do. In our globalised world, it goes without saying that, for many businesses, such systems are essential. But we don’t stop there. Our knowledge and expertise enables us to provide additional services and applications that truly drive our customers’ businesses forward. The essential and added value services we provide meet the mission critical communications needs of our customers. We help our customers not only survive – but thrive.
Here are some of the key services we offer our customers:
MULTI SERVICE PLATFORM (MSP)
Our Multi-Service Platform runs across our next-generation network, providing an integrated service for voice, data and other IP based applications.
The MSP can carry multiple bandwidth hungry, time-critical applications seamlessly across the globe. It’s also extremely robust. It can recover from network faults, by rerouting, in a fraction of a second. This is critical to real time applications such as IP voice calls or high definition video conferencing.
APPLICATIONS PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT (APM)
Applications Performance Management uses a central software management suite to provide live information about the traffic passing over the network. APM ensures that the most essential applications are prioritised so they don’t compete with other bandwidth hungry applications. APM is delivered as standard with MSP.
VIDEO SERVICES
Organisations today need to embrace video communications for success. With the growth in consumer video communications, people are now demanding the functionality at work. This means that organisations need to be able to provide a business grade version to enable their people to work smarter, and more productively.
The increased use of video means that organisations are looking to extend its use to a broader range of applications. This could mean remote specialist services, or indeed remote diagnostics. It could involve deployment of training or mass broadcasts. The ways to utilise Video Services are wide and vast; but one thing’s for sure, it’s much more than just a better way to meet, it’s a better way to work.
C&W Worldwide delivers Video Services to some of the world’s largest organisations. Working with customers, we define the journey to Video Services from the initial consultation, recommendations and deployment through to the cultural aspect of utilisation and adoption.
We’re committed to delivering Video Services that help organisations to succeed.
HOSTED CONTACT CENTRES
Today ‘call centres’ need to respond to customers via a variety of media. Our Hosted Contact Centres can handle inbound and outbound voice calls, emails, web interactions such as text chat and page sharing, and automated transactions using speech recognition applications. This leads to more satisfied customers, increased efficiency and lower operating costs.
STORM®
STORM® offers 30,000 channels of simultaneous connection to provide mass communications any time, anywhere and on almost any network or device. Communications can be personalised so each recipient can decide how they want to be contacted: by voice call, text, email etc.
STORM® has many useful applications. It:
- Keeps customers updated during loss of service, such as power cuts
- Gives citizens vital instructions during emergencies such as flood or weather warnings, and manages calls into information helplines
- Proactively informs parents and pupils about school closures and exam results
- Offers personalised, targeted sales and marketing
Broadcasters already use the STORM® platform for televotes, information lines and competitions. Future services will include real-time interaction with TV shows and purchasing direct from advertisements.
CLOUD COMPUTING
Cloud computing is the latest step in the virtual world and we have already arrived. Instead of relying on personal programmes installed on individual PCs, more and more applications are now provided on-demand from remote servers, across the internet and private networks. Our customers benefit from a shared IT infrastructure, enhanced disaster recovery and business continuity. Consolidating server processing tasks at a centrally located site also optimizes energy consumption and reduces maintenance costs.
From the cables we lay across the ocean floor, to the latest in cloud computing, we meet the mission critical communications needs of our customers.
